~Pendle Hill~
17th March 2010
A fine, but overcast day and it's three months since the first significant snowfall of the winter. I wanted to know if, after the milder weather of the last week, any of the snow has survived on Pendle Hill for "90" days....
The Summit

Barley Water Works
Barley water treatment works is for sale. Do you want a WTW? Try visiting the auctioneers ~ Pugh ~ and see what you think. I'm not sure how long this link will remain active, there are some interesting plans.
Lower Ogden Reservoir
I parked in Barley and walked up to Lower Ogden Reservoir and then through the two-tone wood. Did someone spill the weedkiller?
The Crack
This gully is clearly seen from some distance and this is the first time that I've taken a look from this position.
Summit & Stile
The last of the Snow
This is what I came to look for, congratulations go to Pendle Hill for hosting snow for three full months, first time in decades. I took a closer look, the end of a great season's walking is drawing close...
Till next time
The Descent
My way down to Pendle House and then across the fields to Barley.
I've chosen to show one photo from each of my nine visits to the summit of Pendle Hill this winter.
